An unsolved string of pharmacy store armed robberies in Charlotte

CMPD asking for the public's help in apprehending two suspects who have committed a string of robberies of pharmacies in the Charlotte area.

The latest happened at Friendly Family Pharmacy on Thursday afternoon in west Charlotte.

Jesse Pike, the owner of Pike's Pharmacy on Shamrock Drive, whose store was also hit by the suspects in March, tells WBTV that, unfortunately, it is becoming more and more an issue.

Pike added that the suspects knew exactly what they were doing and they did it very well.

Six pharmacies in the Charlotte area have already been hit by the thieves.  The suspects have robbed the stores of prescription drugs like OxyContin, Xanax and Oxycodone.

The suspects are described as black men, six feet tall with thin builds, one has dread locks and the other short hair with a long goatee and facial hair.
