Teddy Bridgewater
Bridgewater signed a three-year, $63 million deal with the Panthers before last season, but renegotiated the final two years of his deal. Carolina will save a total of $32 million in cap space over the next two years. The Panthers will pay $7 million to Bridgewater and the Broncos will pick up $3 million of his salary.
Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback wasn't a resounding success this year. There’s much speculation about whether Carolina will draft a quarterback in the NFL Draft in April, or if the Panthers will try and trade up to get a quarterback. It’s one thing to blow a lead on the road against a team that is generally considered to have more talent than you, but it’s entirely something else to lose at home with an extra week to prepare for a team that that by most accounts is inferior. Denver beat the Panthers 32-27 at Bank of America Stadium.
