2000
Danny Fontana joined Charlotte's Morning News with Al Gardner in December.
2001
John Hancock returns to WBT to host an evening talkshow from 8pm-12midnight in September.
September 11, 8:50am: WBT joins the nation's media in full coverage of the terrorist attacks in New York and in Washington.
2002
March 22, WBT launches the all-new WBT.com... taking it's reputation for news, weather, traffic and sports to the internet. WBT.com has up-to-the-minute local, national, world and financial news, college and professional sports news, scores and standings, customized traffic reports for your commute, weather forecasts for anywhere in the country and much, much more.
In May, Keith Larson replaced Dr. Laura as WBT's midday host. Keith quickly became known as the host who likes to "poke people in the eye who are full of it, full of themselves and just deserve a good poking."

In September, Stacey Simms joined Al Gardner on Charlotte's Morning News, a fast paced news and information program airing 5am to 9am.
2003
In October, Jason Lewis became the new afternoon drive host on WBT. Jason called himself "Charlotte's Mr. Right" and kept after Liberals as well as Liberals in Conservative clothing.
2006
In August, Jeff Katz replaces Jason Lewis in the afternoons. Jeff , a native of Philadelpia, comes to WBT after hosting shows in Las Vegas, Boston and San Francisco.
2008
December, Tara Servatius is named new afternoon host...
The WBT Briarhoppers, Arthur Smith, Ty Boyd, and Earle Glick are inducted into the WBT Hall of Fame.
2007
"The WBT Briarhoppers - Eight Decades of a Bluegrass Band Made For Radio," written by Tom and Lucy Warlick, is published by McFarland Publishers. Tom Warlick joins the WBT Briarhoppers.
2009
The WBT Briarhoppers celebrate their 75th anniversary.
Alana Flowers is the first female in 70 years to join the WBT Briarhoppers.
Trent Moody joins the WBT Briarhoppers.
