Attorneys: Grand jury declines to indict ex-Auburn player

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Defense attorneys say a Lee County grand jury has declined to indict former Auburn tight end Landon Rice on a rape charge. Attorneys Augusta S. Dowd and Kelly Brennan said in a statement Thursday that the grand jury decided April 12 there wasn't sufficient evidence against Rice. A woman had accused Rice of rape last year. Auburn dismissed the freshman from the team, but he wasn't charged.

Washington and Ohio State announce home-and-home series

SEATTLE (AP) -- Washington and Ohio State have announced a two-game home-and-home series beginning in the 2024 season. The two schools will meet at Husky Stadium in Seattle on Sept. 14, 2024, and have a date at Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Sept. 13, 2025. The schools announced the scheduling agreement on Thursday.

TCU, Purdue announce home and home football series

Purdue and TCU announced a two-game series in football, with the first one coming in 2019 and the next a decade later. The Boilermakers will host the Horned Frogs on Sept. 14, 2019, and visit Fort Worth, Texas, on Sept. 8, 2029. Purdue and TCU have met twice previously, opening the 1969 and 1970 seasons against each other.
